
Vivien Kong, Pianist
Vivien Kong, a captivating pianist born in Shanghai, China, found her musical calling at a young age. After immigrating to Canada with her family, she honed her talent, earning a Bachelor's Degree from the prestigious Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music, where she received the Ihnatowycz Emerging Artist Award. Her dedication to music continued at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she completed her Master's Degree.

Ms. Kong has frequently performed in the United States, Canada and China. Praised for her expressive style and ability to connect emotionally, she has garnered critical acclaim throughout her career.
Ms. Kong is also a passionate music educator. She believes music unlocks a world of creativity, imagination, and emotional expression that transcends language. Her dedication extends to inspiring young minds, fostering a love of music in her students, and nurturing their musical dreams. Recently, Ms. Kong earned her California teaching credential and is excited to embark on a new chapter as a music teacher at Crittenden Middle School in Mountain View this coming year.
When she's not performing or teaching, Ms. Kong finds joy in exploring nature, expressing herself through singing and painting, practicing yoga, and capturing the world through photography.
